Fun facts: I am the angriest little Asian girl you’ll ever meet! I have an amusing case of road rage and make terribly blunt jokes all the time. Music has been a very big part of my life, since I grew up playing the piano and eventually moving onto the flute (which I still play for my UCSD music minor aka GPA booster). However, it always surprises people that my favorite music genre is actually metal (the non-satanic ones); I believe I can listen to all the “pretty” music I want when I am playing music. I have been addicted to gambling after playing the slot machines in Celadon City (Pokemon – Yellow Version) when I was 10 years old; Blackjack is my game of choice since it requires minimal thinking, though I am still in some control of my winnings. I am heterozygous (Aa) for the double eyelid gene. My goal in life is to become the next Asian Nicki Minaj.

FAQ for the S@A

Q: What are the duties of your position?
A: S@A has a wide range of duties, including maintaining order at GBM, promoting chapter spirit, and scheduling composites. However, I believe my most important job is to handle proposals, oversee voting processes, and keep track of revisions to the Bylaws.

Q: How do I make a proposal?
A
: During GBM, simply raise your hand and say, “I propose…(insert proposal)” during my slides when I ask, “Proposals?” However, it would be greatly appreciated if you could inform me ahead of time that you intend on making a proposal! That way, I can either get your proposal on my slides (a better visual for the audience) and count the number of good standing actives present.

Q: Who can vote when there is a proposal?
A: Actives in good standing. That’s why you should keep doing your quarterly active requirements! Otherwise, you lose your ability to have a say in what you want when we vote & debate.

Q: Why did you put stars next to some names on the GBM attendance sheet?
A: The stars indicate that those people are actives in good standing who can vote if we have proposals that day at GBM. After everyone has signed in, I would count how many of these actives have signed in to 1.) see if our needed quorum is present (1/2 or 2/3 of active body), and 2.) to calculate how many votes are needed for proposal to pass (majority or 3/4 of quorum). This is a new approach to our proposals process, with the purpose of making voting more efficient.

Q: What projects do you intend on completing during your term?
A: I assigned myself THREE (3) big projects to do before my term is over: 1.) Order & paint a new set of APO wooden letters, 2.) mass order APO apparel for the fraternity, 3.) and make the best composites ever!
