FAQ for the President

Q: What does the President do?

A: The President is the primary contact to all information regarding Alpha Phi Omega – Rho Pi. I coordinate and plan the General Body Meetings and the Executive Board (E-board) meetings. I work with the chapter advisors to provide assistance to the E-board, prepare presentations for the general body, and ensure an open relationship with the chapter for advice and opinions. If necessary, I would appoint officers to fulfill duties required by the general body or myself. On a weekly basis, I hold E-board meetings to ensure that each officer is carrying out their duties as stated in the APO chapter bylaws.

Q: How much time do you take out of your schedule for Alpha Phi Omega?

A: On top of school and the quarterly/annual requirements for actives, I give at least one entire day of my week to APO. On Sundays, I prepare and run the E-board Meetings and the General Body Meetings, and I would occasionally sit in during Prospect Meetings. Even with scheduled meetings, I feel that I, along with the rest of the Executive Board, am “on-call” every day of the week.
