FAQ for the Fundraising Chair

What do I do as the Fundraising Chair?

It is my job to think of ways to earn money for the fraternity so that the fraternity can continue to operate its service program. I am actively involved in running a committee to set up fundraisers that will turn a profit and benefit the fraternity as a whole. I am also responsible in helping the Treasurer with maintaining the accounts and keeping track of money coming in and out. I am also in charge of making sure other committees are spending their money properly and efficiently, and to help other committees in reducing costs where needed.

How do we set up food funraisers?

To begin, reservations must be made at Onestop at the fourth floor of Price Center. From there, a TAP (Triton Activity Planner) must be filled out for the event. The TAP has our org fill out what event we are running, what the ramifications are, and other has us apply for things like security, heath and safety permits, and insurance if needed. Once the TAP is filled out and approved, an our fundraiser is allowed to occur. TAPs must be filled out 21 days before the event occurs.
