What is “Superfly Rho Pi”?

“Superfly Rho Pi” was created in Spring 2006 by the membership team of Joanne Park and Miller Huang.  It was used as a means to recognize actives that went above and beyond the minimum requirements for each quarter.  Recipients would receive a personalized mini-paddle with their names engraved on it:

There’s no set criteria to receive these awards, but the rule of thumb at the time was to do double the reqs and to do at least 1 of each yearly reqs (1 chair, 1 IC event, 2 hours fundraising) within the same quarter.  This meant to the membership officers that you did it not just because it was a requirement.  Every year, it’s up to the membership officers to decide on what the requirements are to receive this award.

In Fall 2006, and Winter 2007, the name “Superfly Rho Pi” was renamed to “All-Star Actives” to make it more clear what the award was for.  But after some opposition, the name was changed back in Spring 2007 to Superfly Rho Pi.
